XEO Void Intro
V2, a company very well-known for making e-cigs, created a new e-liquid vape pen called the XEO Void that is suitable for the smokers, beginner vapers and even experienced vapers who want a compact device that can still deliver the flavor and clouds they are accustomed to.
The closest thing I have seen to the V2 XEO Void would have to be the Joyetech AIO. They are similar in size and appearance, despite a few minor differences. However, this is not just another rebrand. V2 boasts that this product was actually designed by German engineers.
We are glad to see companies going back to the basics and making products with smokers and new vapers in mind. Is this really that perfect step up from cigalikes and e-cigs? We are about to put it to the test and figure out whether or not this product is worth looking into.

This is not just a typical vape pen. Rather than being perfectly cylindrical, the XEO VOID has its own unique triangular contour. One of the first things I noticed was the childproof top. On one hand I think it is a brilliant idea, but on the other hand I think it looks pretty rough on the eyes.
The XEO Void has a built-in tank with a top-coil, Cubis-style filling method. It holds 2mL of juice, which is a decent amount for the 1.0 SS316 ohm coil, but with the 0.6 SS316 sub-ohm coil, you are going to find yourself refilling this thing a few times throughout the day if you like to chain vape a lot like me.
Other than that, the XEO Void looks pretty much like your Joyetech AIO, except that it comes in solid colors instead of two-tone. These colors include burst silver, gunmetal and black. The black one has a matte finish and looks pretty badass except for the childproof top which looks too much like a unicorn bottle or something. Aesthetically speaking, I am just not a fan.
However, this thing is not made to look pretty. It is made to replace cigarettes for people looking to make the switch. The real question is: how does it vape? And how easily will it be for somebody who has never vaped before to use? We are about to find out those answers.
The drip tip can get quite hot with the sub-ohm coil, and in my opinion looks pretty ugly. Fortunately it is a standard 510 drip tip that can be interchanged.
Opening the top cap was as simple as opening a bottle of juice, literally. You just push down and turn. Filling it was also super easy, because your coil comes right out and it is like filling an empty tank. Then you just pop it back on and you are good to go. Very easy to maintain, even at a heavy metal concert.
Five clicks and it was off to the races. (I let the .6 ohm coil prime for a bit, of course) Then I took a puff. First thing I noticed was that the flavor is on point, especially for a pen-style vaporizer. I get a satisfying throat hit and a normal amount of vapor out of a regular-sized draw.
The drip tip tends to get hot if you are chain vaping it for too long, similar to the Nautilus X. If you are experiencing this issue, it probably means you should eventually upgrade to a more powerful setup with an atomizer that can provide more airflow to cool down that mouthpiece. The airflow on the XEO Void can be adjusted by turning it on top.
The XEO Void is also compatible with Joyetech Cubis 1.0 and .6 ohm coil heads.
For mouth-to-lungers, using the 1.0 ohm coil, this thing is probably a dream come true. It just works, much like my experience with previous V2 products I have tried. I can picture a smoker adapting to the routine of charging it, filling it up and clicking it on when they want their nic fix.
The XEO VOID does pass-thru micro-USB charging so you can plug it into your USB wall adapter or right into your laptop so you can have a vape while it is charging. This is one of my favorite things about vape pens with micro-USB charging. It should be standard at this point. The XEO Void also has LED indication which lights up to tell you how much battery life is left. It also puts on a pretty cool light show while you are charging it.
How durable is the XEO Void? Put it this way, I brought it to a big arena concert recently instead of my typical mech tube, not only did it satisfy both me and my friend’s vape fix, but it survived a few tumbles. This pen performs very much like an AIO but it is built to last much longer, hence the heftier price tag.

- LED battery life indication
- Easy to use
- Micro USB passthrough charging
- Child-proof cap is easy to open
- Both sub-ohm and MTL coils available
- Mouthpiece looks ugly
- Mouthpiece can get hot
- Coil material not specified
In summary this would be groundbreaking if it were twenty bucks, but it is about three times that. Therefore, I can only say that if you are absolutely set on the idea of buying a vape pen, rather than a nice starter kit and mod on the market these days, then this is the one for you.
The XEO is just a no-hassle vape pen that is easy to use and re-fill. I can picture a smoker being able to figure it all out in a day and make the first step towards their new healthier lifestyle. Is it going to be the last vape he ever buys? Probably not, but it is an excellent stepping stone.
The V2 XEO is also not bad for seasoned vapers such as myself that just wants a little vape pen to mess around with when we are out and about. For example, I recently went to the store and instead of lugging a mech mod and dripper with a bottle of juice, I just grabbed the XEO Void.
If you can’t seem to drop $60 right now for a starter kit, then I would probably just go with the Eleaf iCare or the Joyetech AIO. Other than that, I would definitely recommend the XEO for that smoker who wants to buy his first vape pen, or a new vaper who just wants an upgrade.
